Coaching is suitable for people who are emotionally stable and in good mental health, but at the same time wish to improve some aspect of their lives.
Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), as in the coaching, It is designed to help people achieve their personal goals and objectives, minimising their emotional disturbances and defeatist behaviour, and encouraging attitudes and values that enable the person to fulfil themselves and have a happier and more rewarding existence.
Some research shows that the coaching has an overly optimistic and biased view of the human being, like other therapeutic orientations, as it focuses mainly on the resources and talents that the client has to solve his or her problems and achieve his or her goals. TREC, on the other hand, conceives the human being as a whole, in a humanistic and realistic way: with a potential to be constructive, but also with a potential to be destructive at the same time. It is therefore a model of coaching in which the focus is not only on the constructive side but also on the destructive side, helping you to accept yourself unconditionally even if you do not achieve your goals.
TREC is not only a psychotherapy based on the solution of psychopathological problems, but it is a philosophical system aimed at improving psychological well-being and personal self-realisation.
